Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Reports to: Project Manager

Job Summary: The Project Manager will oversee the overall contract administration, provide technical expertise, and support project execution. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, within budget, on time, and to the specified quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer contracts and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement project safety plans, promoting health and safety best practices.
  • Ensure project completion aligns with design specifications, budget, resources, quality standards, and schedules.
  • Understand client objectives and offer value engineering proposals to enhance functionality, cost-efficiency, and schedule.
  • Manage project performance, including providing regular status reports on safety, cost forecasts, and schedules.
  • Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments, and monitor their progress and schedules.
  • Enforce compliance with contracts and contract documents.
  • Participate in project commissioning and closeout activities.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with construction projects.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the construction industry.
  • Expertise in performing accurate quantity surveys and estimating costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work.
  • High level of integrity, loyalty, and confidentiality regarding company operations and bids.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with contractors, owners, inspectors, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and able to take initiative.
  • Capability to efficiently meet deadlines and dedicate the necessary time to complete tasks.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in estimating and managing demolition projects.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to interpret construction blueprints.

Additional Information: This is not a remote position. The role requires daily travel to job sites around Colorado and driving into the office for meetings. The duties listed are not exhaustive and may be subject to change to meet the company’s needs. The role requires a flexible approach and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
